Impact of Controlled-Release Fertilizers on Fruit Quality in Peach Orchards
2026/10/25
This article presents the results of our research on the impact of controlled-release fertilizers on fruit quality and quantity in peach orchards.
Introduction
Peach is one of the most important orchard crops in Iran, requiring proper and continuous nutrition. Controlled-release fertilizers, with their controlled nutrient release, can play an important role in improving peach fruit quality.
Research Method
This study was conducted in peach orchards in Damavand County, comparing three different treatments: polymer-coated controlled-release fertilizer, resin-coated controlled-release fertilizer, and conventional fertilizer.
Results
Results show that using controlled-release fertilizers leads to:
- 35% increase in fruit weight
- Improved fruit color and taste
- Increased post-harvest shelf life
- Reduced fruit drop before ripening
Conclusion
Adib Gostar Arvand's controlled-release fertilizers with advanced coating technology are a suitable option for feeding peach orchards and can provide significant benefits both economically and in terms of product quality.
